The men behind Jacobi Tanks

For more than 40 years, the Jacobi Tanks family business has been a specialist in the field of fuel tanks. The company was founded by Jelke and Koosje Jacobi. As a farmer’s son, Jelke grew up in the Frisian countryside. From his contact with the farmers, he saw that there was a need for storage options for fuel. In collaboration with a metal company, Jelke designed storage tanks and started trading them to (farming) companies and government agencies. From this starting point, the company has grown throughout the Netherlands.

As the fuel tank market continued to develop, this sector became increasingly subject to laws and regulations from the government. Jacobi Tanks has therefore also specialised in carrying out thorough, qualified inspections and maintenance of tanks. Jacobi Tanks has also grown into a company with highly specialised knowledge and services in the field of inspection and regulations, and is known for its accuracy.

Company Acquisition

In 2021, brothers Joël and Jachin took over the company. “As little boys, we already participated in this family business. We not only have a lot of knowledge and experience in this sector, but also a passion for the business. It is wonderful to continue this family business together as brothers and also to optimally utilise the potential of this company. We know the company and our customers like no other. It is nice that we can offer our customers the same reliability and certainty, but in a fresh and modern style!”
